Optimised Design
Fabrication costs are reduced and part life significantly extended. A typical example can be seen here where a reducer is integrated into the ceramic lining itself. A steel reducer is removed from the weldment and the change in diameter from DN200 to DN150 is spread throughout the whole bend, removing a concentrated wear point. End result for the customer is that this spool is cheaper to make but lasts 3 times longer than the spool it replaces.
